BASTROP, Texas — The largest medical cannabis facility in Texas is now open in Bastrop in a new 75,000 square foot facility.

Texas Original, a medical cannabis provider in the state, says their new headquarters in Bastrop expands production capacity and accelerates access for patients statewide.

The new facility, an expansion from the provider’s previous 7,700 square foot space, boasts a new hybrid greenhouse where the first sun-grown medical cannabis in Texas was recently harvested, manufacturing and testing labs that support higher and faster output, enhanced packaging and delivery logistics that improve statewide access, and increased capacity for more patients.

The Lone Star State’s largest medical cannabis facility comes less than a year after the Texas legislature passed HB 46, expanding the conditions eligible for the state’s medical marijuana program.

“This facility represents the future of medical cannabis in Texas,” said Nico Richardson, CEO of Texas Original. “Our expanded operations in Bastrop allow us to serve even more patients across the state, and with the quality expected from Texas Original. As legislative changes under House Bill 46 create opportunities for more Texans to access medical cannabis, we’re ready to meet that need.”
