Amazon is on a mission to let Prime members know they’re eligible for free Grubhub+, and they’re doing it in the best way possible—with free food (but only for a limited time). We’re big fans of a good deal here at Good Housekeeping, so we had to investigate when we heard the news. Let’s break down what it means.

Amazon Prime members can now receive Grubhub+ as part of their membership, at no extra cost. We’re talking: $0 delivery fees, reduced service fees, exclusive offers, and a 5% credit on eligible pickup orders.

As part of Amazon’s promotion of this deal, they’ve partnered with fast food chain McDonald’s to offer Prime members an exclusive and tasty discount.

What’s included in the McDonald’s Prime deal?

Prime members can receive a free 10-piece McNugget meal—with a drink and sauces of their choice—when they add $20 worth of McDonald’s items to their cart and activate their free Grubhub+ offer.

Better yet, this is not a one-time deal. According to Amazon, you can redeem the offer once a day until October 5 (when the promotion ends), meaning free McNugget meals for days.

How to get a free 10-piece McNugget meal

Like all deals, there are a few things you should know about participating.

• You must be an Amazon Prime member and sign into your account.
• You must link your Amazon Prime account to Grubhub+ by navigating to this page and selecting “Activate now.”
• You must add the 10-piece McNugget Meal to your cart alongside a drink and sauces.
• In addition to the meal, you will need to purchase other McDonald’s items to hit the $20 eligibility mark. Tip, taxes, and fees do not count toward the $20 baseline.
• At checkout, the deal will be applied, making your McNugget meal free. Anything you purchase to make up the difference in the $20 eligibility will not be free.
• You must participate on or before October 5 to take advantage of the promotion.

If you already have a Grubhub+ membership (separate from Amazon Prime) and wish to participate, you’ll need to link your Prime membership to Grubhub+. Upon linking, your existing paid Grubhub+ plan should be cancelled, and your new, free membership through Amazon will start on the first calendar day after the current billing cycle.
