These Amazon dressers could be deadly for children, and you might have one in your home

February 9, 2026

Thousands of dressers that were primarily sold on Amazon last year have been recalled because they can tip over if not anchored to the wall and injure someone.

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recently announced recalls from five companies that combined sold 15,350 dressers.

The dressers are unstable if not anchored to the wall, which poses a tip-over and entrapment risk can seriously injure or kill a child, the CPSC said. They violate the standards required by the STURDY Act.

The largest recall was issued by YITA for 6,800 Yitahome, Uforic, Dextrus, Yintatech and ModFusion-branded dressers that were sold at Amazon.com and Walmart.com from September 2023 through August 2025 for between $75 and $100.

The 16-drawer dressers were sold in gray, black, white, pink and brown. They have a black or white metal frame, a wooden top and collapsible fabric drawers.

The SKU numbers are FTBFSD-0161, FTBFSD-0162, FTBFSD-0212, FTBFSD-0246 or FTBFSD-0465. The SKU number is printed on labels on the dresser’s top panel and on the product packaging.

To receive a refund, write the word “recall” on the dresser in permanent marker, disassemble it, take a photo and send it to yitamotor@outlook.com.
