Tops will open a new store in Ellenville, New York, in mid-June 2025 following a $2 million floor-to-ceiling renovation. The 46,750-square-foot facility, located at a former ShopRite site near Joseph Y. Resnick Airport, will feature:

  • A new storefront with fresh exterior paint and landscaping
  • Energy-efficient equipment and LED lighting
  • New shopping carts and expanded self-checkouts
  • Renovated restrooms
  • An enlarged fresh-food perimeter with updated décor

Customers can expect a wide variety of certified Kosher foods, an expanded Brew Market featuring local breweries, and a Healthy Hydration section. Tops will also offer fast online grocery pickup, delivery, catering, and savings through Flashfood®, which discounts near-expiry items by up to 60%.

Shoppers will find fresh local produce from more than 500 farmers, expanded seafood and butcher services, natural and organic grocery items, scratch-baked goods, and a full-service deli and carry-out meals.

“We are thrilled to be adding the Ellenville location to the Tops family of stores,” said Ron Ferri, president of Tops Friendly Markets. “These enhancements focus on convenience, selection, quality, and low prices every day.”

In addition to the new Ellenville store, Tops will remodel two existing locations in Fayetteville and Manlius with a combined $4.4 million investment. Work is expected to be completed by late summer to early fall 2025.

  • Fayetteville, NY (350 Towne Dr.): A 62,000-square-foot store undergoing a $2.25 million renovation
  • Manlius, NY (119 West Seneca St.): A 41,000-square-foot store with a $2.15 million investment

Renovations will include:

  • Fresh, modern interior décor and paint
  • All-new flooring throughout both stores
  • Upgraded LED lighting for improved energy efficiency
  • New self-checkouts and shopping carts
  • Renovated restrooms
  • Expanded Deli and Carry Out Café featuring Boar’s Head, fresh sushi, and Meals to Go
  • A refreshed Bakery with expanded frozen selections, new bread walls, and pastry displays
  • New Healthy Hydration and Health and Natural Organics sections

“We’re proud to invest in these remodels that will bring an updated, more convenient, and enjoyable shopping experience to our customers,” Ferri said.

Tops plans to host grand reopening celebrations at both remodeled locations later this year.
