TURNER (WGME) — A cannabis shop in Turner was broken into for the second time early Tuesday morning.

“I didn’t think in a million years it would happen again,” 45 Degrees North Cannabis Co. Co-Owner Jon Nadeau said.

Security cameras caught the entire break-in, which showed two people in masks smashing one of the front windows and jumping inside the store. Once inside, they started smashing the glass display cases open.

“Actual cannabis products stolen as well as a lot of paraphernalia,” Nadeau said. “This time, too, they walked off with the cash register, threw the computer on the ground.”

It was just four days ago that 45 Degrees North Cannabis was broken into. Cameras this time caught two people smashing open the glass door.

“They smashed every glass countertop, just about every glass display case,” Nadeau.

Nadeau believes more than $10,000 in cannabis products were stolen during the most recent break-in.

The store, which is typically open seven days a week, had to close for a few hours Tuesday to clean up the damage. They did eventually open back up Thursday afternoon.

“I feel very bad for him [the owners]. Too many little punks running around,” a frequent customer said.

Nadeau says they now need to replace their door and most of the display cases. The shop did put up bars on the windows Thursday.

“Unfortunately, I hate to look at that, but that’s what it comes to,” Nadeau said.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday that they are still investigating both break-ins, and they are looking into whether they could be connected.

45 Degrees North Cannabis says if you know any information about either of the break-ins, to contact them or the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.

“The worst part is really for our employees, like they’re just scared to come to work,” Nadeau said.
