BEAVER, W.Va. (WCHS) — Two new Amazon facilities with some fulfillment operations are coming to West Virginia.
Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced Amazon’s first operations facilities in West Virginia will be located in Davisville and Beaver, according to a news release. The two facilities are expected to support about 500 jobs combined.
“For the first time, West Virginians will see Amazon delivery trucks operating right here at home,” Morrisey said in the news release. “That means faster delivery, new jobs, and more opportunity for our communities.”
Unlike traditional delivery stations, both facilities will include small-scale fulfillment operations that allow for faster access to everyday essentials such as household goods, pet supplies and other frequently ordered items.

This capability supports faster delivery times, including same-day service for some orders in surrounding communities, the news release said.
