Two men have been questioned on suspicion of conspiracy to import drugs after 536kg of cannabis was seized by Border Force officers.

The cannabis had been destined for an address in Stoke-on-Trent when it was seized in August 2025, said Staffordshire Police.

On Monday a 35-year-old from Stoke-on-Trent and a 43-year-old from Stapeley, Cheshire, were detained as part of the investigation.

The pair, who are suspected of conspiracy to import a controlled drug of Class B with intent to evade a prohibition or restriction, have been released on conditional bail as inquiries continue.
