BURTON, Mich. (WJRT) – Two businesses announced that they are expanding into Genesee County by investing nearly $8 million into investment projects.

Custom Air Handling Solutions and Fluid Cooling Systems will be investing nearly $7.8 million to expand their business in Burton.

Custom Air Handling Solutions specializes in the design and manufacturing of custom-engineered air handling units and hydronic packages. The HVAC systems are used for heat recovery, dehumidification and energy recovery.

The company recently purchased a 50,000-square-foot building to expand operations to meet the increased demand. With the expansion, $5.275 million in capital investments is expected to be generated.

The investment is expected to create nearly 70 jobs that have a starting wage of $25/hour, plus benefits.

Fluid Cooling Systems plans to invest more than $2.5 million to expand and update its headquarters in Burton. The expansion is expected to create 82 new jobs with a starting wage of $22/hour plus benefits. 

Fluid Cooling Systems engineers and manufactures industrial, commercial and HVAC products. The company works with a variety of industries, including automotive, data centers, crypto miners, pharmaceutical, oil, gas and power.
