Vermont’s Largest Annual Cannabis Event Returns to Burlington

March 25, 2026

BURLINGTON — The 7th Annual Vermont Cannabis Convention will return to Burlington at the Doubletree by Hilton on May 8-9, 2026 with a new location, new hours, and new cannabis display policies.

The Vermont Cannabis Convention is the signature annual gathering in Vermont’s cannabis industry featuring a full floor of exhibitors as well as interactive presentations and panel discussions throughout the two-day event.

New in 2026, regulators have provided an event display protocol for licensed cannabis businesses to bring and display cannabis flower and products, a step that Organizer Eli Harrington says is a big step forward in the evolution of the industry.

“It might seem like a no-brainer that you have cannabis at the cannabis convention, but anyone in this industry will tell you regulations are never simple. We’re grateful there’s a protocol for the licensed establishments and excited to see and smell Vermont’s best cannabis on display at the convention!”

In addition to seeing, smelling, and judging the various cultivars from Vermont growers, all tickets include free admission to the speakers and exhibitions, highlighted in 2026 by a keynote speech from cannabis researcher, author, and professor, Dr. Riley Kirk, Ph.D.

Additional panels will appeal to consumers, homegrowers, medical patients, and professionals alike, including multiple cultivation panels, understanding and manufacturing hash and other concentrate products, and professionally judging cannabis.

For the first time since the inaugural Vermont Cannabis Convention in 2018, the event returns to Burlington at the Doubletree by Hilton, a move which Harrington says was based on timing and aligning with Vermont’s short gardening season.

“The previous venue was a tremendous partner for us, but we know that the best Vermont Cannabis Convention happens in early May when home growers and professionals throughout New England are thinking about cannabis genetics, nutrients, and are hungry for information.”

The convention has also become an important event for curious cannabis consumers, homegrowers, and connoisseurs. As Vermont’s cannabis market continues to expand, more consumers are looking to understand the nuances of cultivation, consumption, and product safety. The convention will cater to this growing interest by offering opportunities for hands-on learning, product demonstrations, Q&A sessions with experts, and direct interaction with industry leaders.

“The Vermont Cannabis Convention is a mirror of the larger Vermont cannabis community, which combines high quality with small scale; the exhibitors, products and workshops are world-class, but you can still get a cheap ticket and have a face to face conversation.” Harrington added.

The Vermont Cannabis Convention is open Friday, May 8 from 2:30pm to 6:30pm and Saturday, May 9, from 10am to 3pm at the Doubletree by Hilton in Burlington. Tickets are available now atnecann.com/vermont or at the door. Full weekend passes are available for purchase.
