‘We’re every inch closer to getting paid’: Lebanon ex-workers sue Amazon, contractor

June 4, 2026

LEBANON, Tenn. (WZTV) — A group of delivery drivers for Amazon in Lebanon are suing to get paid what they say they are owed.

The lawsuit names Amazon and” Pave It Forward Logistics”, a third-party delivery company that contracts with Amazon.

It’s been two months since Samantha Cenizal says she has not gotten paid for her last week of work.

“It’s irritating, frustrating, mad, confused,” former employee Cenizal said.

For a year, she says she worked as a delivery driver for Pave It Forward Logistics, owned by Jerame Stout.

The company had 100 employees according to the Tennessee Department of of Labor and Workforce.

We were basically working for nothing,” Cenizal said. “Like, we were slaves.

After Stout still hasn’t paid his former employees, blaming Amazon for his sudden closure, Samantha and several others are now suing both Stout and Amazon.

“We’re every inch closer to getting paid what we’re owed,” Cenizal said.

Jonathan Street is the former workers’ attorney.

“Our case is about getting people paid. And so that’s what we’re hoping to do,” said Street.

The suit alleges the lack of payment violated the Fair Labor Standards Act, which protects workers’ pay.

It also alleges the less than 60 days’ notice of the business closure violates the WARN Act.

The lawsuit also claims Amazon is responsible because it had control over the employees, including the contract, training, branded uniforms and trucks, discipline, and “determining where, when, how, and in what order packages are to be delivered to Amazon customers.”

Amazon told FOX 17 News they cannot comment on litigation but pointed to their previous statements disputing their responsibility in paying the employees.

Writing in part:

“DSPs are independent businesses that make their own operational decisions. They determine whether to participate in Amazon’s branding program.”

FOX 17 News texted and called Stout, but he could not be reached for comment.

Cenizal has hope the lawsuit will work in the former employees’ favor.

As of now, there has been no court date set.
