When Will ‘The Chosen’ Season 5 Be Streaming? How Long You’ll Have To Wait

March 30, 2025

The first two episodes of The Chosen: The Last Supper, the fifth season of popular faith-based series, are now playing in theaters. If you’d rather skip the big screen—or want to rewatch the episodes at home—read on to find out when and where you can stream Season 5.

The next installment of The Chosen takes place duringHoly Week before the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Season 4 ended with Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead, a miracle that spurred the Sanhedrin and the High Priest to begin plotting to hand Him over to the Romans for execution.

“The table is set. The people of Israel welcome Jesus as king while his disciples anticipate his crowning. But—instead of confronting Rome—he turns the tables on the Jewish religious festival,” the synopsis reads. “Their power threatened, the country’s religious and political leaders will go to any length to ensure this Passover meal is Jesus’ last.”

When I spoke with Jonathan Roumie, who plays Jesus, he shared that he’s especially excited for fans to see the powerful scene where Jesus enters the temple marketplace and flips over the tables of the buyers, sellers, and money changers. “The marketplaces are just completely upended,” he told me on set last July. “It will be a wonderfully chaotic scene, and I can’t wait for people to see it.”

In addition to Roumie, the full Season 4 cast is returning for Season 5, including Shahar Isaac as Simon Peter, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Paras Patel as Matthew, Noah James as Andrew, George H. Xanthis as John, Abe Bueno-Jallad as Big James, and more.

Part One of The Chosen: The Last Supper, which includes the first two episodes, is now playing in theaters. Part Two—Episodes 3, 4, and 5—will premiere a week later on April 4, 2025, followed by Part Three with the final three episodes on April 11. All episodes will remain in theaters through April 20, 2025.

But when will you be able to watch The Chosen Season 5 at home? Here’s what to know so far.

When Will The Chosen Season 5 Be Streaming?

The fifth season of The Chosen, titled The Chosen: The Last Supper, will stream exclusively on Amazon’s Prime Video this June, which is about two months after its theatrical run. The exact streaming date hasn’t been announced, so make sure to stay tuned for updates.

Prime Video will also become the exclusive U.S. streaming home for the first five seasons of The Chosen, as well as all future seasons. Internationally, the series will be available on Prime Video later this year on a non-exclusive basis in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Sub-Saharan Africa, the UK, and Latin America.

For donors who contributed to Season 5, creator Dallas Jenkins shared in a February 2025 livestream that they’ll be able to watch the new season on Prime Video just like everyone else. He also noted that the Come and See Foundation will follow up with more details via email.

The Chosen’s move to Prime Video follows a new deal between series producer 5&2 Studios and Amazon MGM Studios. Previously, the series was available on platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Peacock, but according to Variety, those deals have all expired in recent months.

Jenkins launched 5&2 Studios in September 2025 following an arbitration ruling that ended the partnership between his company, The Chosen LLC, and former distributor Angel Studios. The decision granted Jenkins full control of The Chosen, and now he’s partnering with Amazon MGM studios for a much larger deal.

“For several years, the team at Amazon MGM Studios has proved over and over they’re passionate about this show and our fans,” Jenkins told the site. “They’re going to make us better and get the show to more people, and I can’t wait to build this relationship.”
