FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — Authorities have identified 34-year-old Misty Lynn as the woman killed in a DUI crash in Fresno County, which also involved two small children.

Her employer posted a photo on Facebook saying she was on her way to work at the Bella Brooke Cafe on Wednesday afternoon.

Investigators say a 41-year-old man was driving a Tesla with two children, both under the age of 5, in the back seat.

They say he crossed into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with Lynn on Highway 180 and Old Oak Road near Dunlap.

The impact sent Lynn’s car 30 feet down the mountainside, where she died.

The Tesla driver sustained major injuries and was hospitalized.

Investigators say the children in his car were properly secured in safety seats.

They were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Officers arrested the Tesla driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs.
