Woman sentenced to at least 3 years for deadly Tesla hit-and-run

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A judge sentenced a woman who hit and killed a 33-year-old man with her Tesla nearly one year ago.
Karen Cannon, 63 at the time of the crash, will spend at least three years in jail. She was convicted of reckless driving resulting in death and failure to stop at the scene of a crash involving death or personal injury.

In May 2025, Cannon hit Patrick Deloriea in a crosswalk. She then took the Tesla to a repair shop to try to cover it up.
Cannon was arrested in June, a month after the crash.
