A Chattanooga Volkswagen supplier will lay off 153 workers this summer.

Yanfeng International Automotive Technology has filed a warning notice with the state.

The workers will be permanently laid off at its Bonnyshire Drive facility.

The employees are not represented by a collective bargaining agreement and do not have bumping rights.

The cuts take effect on Monday, June 29.

State labor officials were notified this week, and a regional rapid response team is now working with impacted employees to provide job placement and support services.
