What are the best Prime Day deals of 2025?
“Think of Prime Day as Black Friday in July; it’s a great time to invest in higher price point items during what will likely be the biggest sale week we’ll see this year until November,” says Teich.
But for the first time ever, Prime Day will run for four days straight. “We expect notable discounts on cleaning appliances like vacuums and steam mops, kitchen essentials like air fryers and Le Creuset cookware and everyday tech like Apple AirPods and Amazon devices,” Teich says, plus the steepest discounts on Apple tech.
Do I need an Amazon Prime membership to shop Prime Day deals?
Technically, no — even non-members will be able to shop Amazon’s site on Prime Day. But since the steepest discounts are reserved for Amazon Prime members only, we recommend signing up for a membership to take advantage of exclusive deals.
Here’s the good news: if you don’t currently have an Amazon Prime membership, you can sign up for a free 30-day trial to access members-only Prime Day deals. Once your trial has ended, you can choose to continue your membership for $14.99 per month or $139 per year. That includes access to members-only savings events all year long, as well as exclusive perks like free two-day shipping and Amazon Prime Video.
If you’re a student or a qualified government assistance recipient, Amazon offers special discounted memberships.
How many times a year is Prime Day?
While Prime Day started as an annual sale in July, Amazon introduced an October Prime Day (also known as Prime Big Deal Days) in 2022. The fall savings event has returned every year since, and while there’s no official word on if Prime Big Deal Days will return, we expect it to come back in October 2025. The e-tailer also hosts a handful of smaller sales throughout the year, like Amazon Big Spring Sale and Amazon Pet Day.
