Electric vehicle maker Rivian Automotive Inc. plans to open a large distribution center on the north side of Fort Worth as the company expands its service infrastructure.

The company plans to take 525,000 square feet at 1384 Bold Ruler Road for a parts distribution center. The facility will serve as a regional hub to receive, store and ship parts for the vehicles to the company’s service and collision centers across the Southwest, according to Rivian. About 475,000 square feet will be used for the parts distribution center and about 50,000 square feet will be used for a learning and development center for technical service training, which is expected to open in 2027, Rivian told Dallas Business Journal in a statement.

Once the parts distribution center opens, it would be the company’s sixth, along with facilities in Colton, California; Shepherdsville Kentucky; Carneys Point, New Jersey; Sacramento, California; and Waalwijk, Netherlands.

With a market capitalization of about $21 billion, Rivian is one of the country’s largest electric vehicle companies, although by that metric it lags far behind Elon Musk’s Tesla and its nearly $1.5 trillion market cap. Rivian has attracted attention with its “adventure-oriented” designs like the R1S SUV and R1T pickup. Rivian reported 2025 revenue of $5.4 billion and a net loss of $3.6 billion.
